09/08/2004 8:30:00 PM Montreal Canadiens goaltender Jose Theodore will replace veteran goalie Ed Belfour at the World Cup of Hockey, Team Canada announced Monday. Belfour pulled out of the tournament less than two weeks before Team Canada opens training camp in Ottawa, citing a back problem. (08/09/2004) -- The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Monday that their American Hockey League (AHL) franchise, the St. John's Maple Leafs, will relocate to Toronto starting in 2005-06 when their affiliate agreement with the City of St. John's expires in 2005.
